(BATAVIA TOWNSHIP) – Travel on a portion of M-86 in Branch County will be detoured this week.

Starting today, the Michigan Department of Transportation is closing M-86 between Matteson Lake Road in Matteson Township and Snow Prairie Road in Batavia Township to replace a culvert.

Traffic will be detoured south on Matteson Lake Road to Lindley Road then east to Snow Prairie Road and then north to M-86.

Work is expected to be completed by August 23.
