Hunter Injured After Falling From Tree Stand
By: Mike Stiles - Monday, October 14, 2019

(BETHEL TOWNSHIP) – A hunter was injured after falling from his tree stand.

The Bronson Fire Department was sent to 632 West Central Road in Bethel Township just before 7:30 Saturday morning. Fire Chief Scott Wilber says crews arrived and found a hunter who fell approximately 16 feet from a tree stand. It appears the ratchet strap holding the stand onto the tree broke.

West Michigan Air Care was called in and flew the patient from the scene. A Michigan Department Of Natural Resources Conservation Officer was also called to the area.

Wilber says his department was on scene for two hours.
