(BRONSON) – Three candidates interviewed Wednesday for the position of Bronson Schools Superintendent.

The Bronson Board of Education held interviews with Michael Fitzpatrick, the former Vice President of Instruction at Pratt Community College in Kansas; Suzanne Kavanaugh, the K-12 Principal of the Pontiac School District; and Harmonee McCrea, Principal at Wall School in Sturgis.

All three candidates shared about their background in education and then were asked several questions including what appealed to them about the Bronson Superintendent's position; their communication style; their leadership style and working with the school board.

Three more candidates will be interviewed today. The Board will get a chance to meet Jessica Bucklin, the School Improvements, Curriculum and Behavior Consultant with the Jackson County ISD; Steve Wilson, the Superintendent of Constantine Public Schools and Kathleen Ramirez, the K-7 Principal at Holland Public Schools.

Bucklin's interview will start at 5 PM; Wilson's at 6 PM; and Ramirez at 7 PM. The interviews will be held in the Bronson High School Library and the public is welcome to attend.

The Michigan Association Of School Boards is helping Bronson Schools in the search. They hope that following Thursday's interviews, a smaller number of candidates will be asked back for second round interviews.
