Three Rivers Resident Killed In Motorcycle Accident

(THREE RIVERS) – An incident Sunday night took the life of a Three Rivers resident.

The Three Rivers Police Department says they were called to the area of Hoffman and Wood Streets just after 9 PM Sunday for a single vehicle crash. Officers arrived and starting giving first aide to the rider of a motorcycle that had crashed. The Three Rivers Fire Department responded and transported the 45 year old individual to the Three Rivers Health Emergency Room.

The victim was flown to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, where they were later pronounced dead.

Officers say the rider was traveling east on Hoffman Street when they lost control of their motorcycle and had to lay it down. It went off the road, striking a pole before coming to rest in a field.

The rider's name is being withheld, pending notification of family members.

An accident investigator from the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
