(SCOTT TOWNSHIP) – A Monday morning crash between two motorcycles sent two men to the hospital.

The Steuben County Sheriff's Department was called to the area of County Road 350 East, north of County Road 100 North at 5:30 AM. Deputies determined that 31 year old Andrew Jones of Ashley was driving his motorcycle south in the 1400 block of north County Road 350 East and made a left turn into a private driveway. He turned in the path of a northbound motorcycle operated by 25 year old Charles Carpenter of Columbia City, and the bikes collided.

Jones was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne by the Steuben County EMS. Carpenter was taken by a private vehicle to Cameron Hospital in Angola. Neither driver was wearing a helmet.

Also assisting deputies was the Angola Fire Department.
