(ELKHART) – An individual is being questioned in relation to a report of battery.

Captain Michael Culp says the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department was called to 54621 County Road 1 at 10:24 AM Tuesday on a report of a battery incident involving four people. Deputies located three subjects with injuries at the scene who were later transported by ambulance to receive medical treatment.

A 30 year old woman and a 49 year old man had wounds that were consistent with lacerations. A 52 year old woman reportedly had multiple contusions.

Culp says deputies detained a fourth subject for questioning. Detectives with the department are continuing to investigate the incident.
