(THREE RIVERS) – Authorities are investigating a hit and run incident that killed a woman Thursday.

Three Rivers Police say it happened in the parking lot of the Meijer Store on U.S. 131. The woman was struck just after 1 PM. Paramedics arrived and performed life saving measures on the women, but she passed away.

Investigators says they are looking for a black 2015 Chevy Silverado that is missing a tailgate. The vehicle was being driven by a man and there was a female passenger.

Three Rivers Police along with the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department talked with businesses in the area to see if they had any video of the incident. Also helping out at the scene were the Three Rivers Fire Department, the Constantine Police Department and the Michigan State
Police.

The victim's name has not been released until police can notify her family.
