Howe Military Academy

(UNDATED) – Howe Military Academy has new ownership.

The World Olivet Assembly announced that they have acquired the 55.3 acre Howe Military campus on the north edge of Howe. Based in New York, World Olivet Assembly is an evangelical Christian denomination, consisting of an international assembly of churches and Christian ministries. They own additional properties across the United States.

They will use the Howe Military campus for educational facilities. The campus is already equipped with many amenities, including a chapel, student residences, dining hall facilities, administration offices, classrooms and recreational facilities.

World Olivet Assembly plans to move forward with maintenance and campus enhancement projects. At full capacity, the campus will have room to accommodate 400 students, with faculty and staff to increase appropriately in parallel.

The World Olivet Assembly is aiming for a 2020-21 start date, once the necessary authorizations are finalized, including COVID-19 related approvals for educational institutions.

Howe Military Academy, formerly know as Howe Military School, started in 1884 as a private, co-educational, and college preparatory boarding school. They announced in 2019 that they would be closing their doors.

The World Olivet Assembly leadership is looking forward to working with the local community.
