Sturgis City Hall Opening June 24
By: Mike Stiles - Tuesday, June 23, 2020

(STURGIS) – Sturgis City Hall will be re-opening to the public this week.

Assistant City Manager Andrew Kuk says as of Wednesday, June 24, City Hall will once again be open for the public to come in to conduct business with the different departments. Hours will be limited, 12 PM to 5 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Customers who visit City Hall should plan to wear a face covering in compliance with Executive Order 2020-110, as well as maintain appropriate social distancing.

Kuk says in addition, the Doyle Community Center will be reopening on June 29. To find out about the rescheduling and/or the resumption of select outdoor recreation programs, you can visit the Doyle's Facebook page or their website. Click Here.

Also, the resumption of electric disconnections for non payment will start June 26. Late fees for unpaid utility bills will once again accrue starting July 1.

Kuk says the postponement or cancellation of City organized events, classes or activities that are not allowed or unable to be planned under restrictions on gathering are continuing.

Even as more facilities are reopening, residents are encouraged to, where possible, conduct business with the City remotely. Citizens can contact all City departments via phone or e-mail, and can find contact information on line. Click Here.
