(ELKHART) – An Elkhart man has died from the injuries he received in a weekend accident.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says 88 year old Willard Mast died Monday at South Bend Memorial Hospital.

Friday at 1:45 PM, Mast was traveling north on State Road 19 at Fairfax Drive. He collided with a curbed sidewalk and his vehicle rolled over. Mast was ejected in the incident.

He was initially taken to Elkhart General Hospital with bleeding to his head and hands. He was later transferred to South Bend Memorial Hospital.
