NE Indiana Reports 43 New Cases Of Coronavirus

(INDIANAPOLIS) – There were two more deaths and 53 new cases of coronavirus as of Monday afternoon in Northeast Indiana.

The Indiana State Department of Health says there were 4 new cases of coronavirus in LaGrange County. That makes 412 individuals with the virus and 6 people who have died.

Noble County has another death from COVID-19, which makes 28 people who have died. There were also 7 new cases of the virus, bringing the number of people who have COVID-19 to 383. Steuben County has 1 new case, which makes 112 people who have the virus and there have been 2 deaths.

DeKalb County is reporting one new case of coronavirus. 140 people have tested positive for the virus and there have been 4 deaths. Elkhart County has another death which means 40 people have died from COVID-19. There were also 40 new cases of the virus, which makes 2,705 people who have tested positive.

Statewide there were 281 new cases of COVID-19. That makes 43,140 people who have tested positive. There were 9 more deaths. There are now 2,386 people who have died from COVID-19.

The State Department of Health also says as of Wednesday, 431,883 Hoosiers have been tested for coronavirus, with 10 percent coming back as positive.
