(UNDATED) – A 34 year old Constantine man is being held after a two state pursuit.

St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says just after 11 PM on July 30, his department was asked to help the LaGrange Indiana Police Department with a high speed pursuit involving a motorcycle. Deputies located the bike heading west on Fawn River Road near Balk Road. The chase continued west, with speeds going over 100 MPH.

The pursuit reached Sevison Road, where the White Pigeon Police redirected the motorcycle back east. The suspect then turned north onto Huff Road and continued to U.S. 12, where the chase ended when the bike sideswiped a patrol car.

The driver was taken to the St. Joseph County Jail on charges of fleeing and eluding; resisting and obstructing; possession of methamphetamine; reckless driving; driving with a suspended or expired license; no registration and not having insurance.

Authorities in Indiana will also be seeking charges for the offenses that occurred in their state.

In addition to the White Pigeon Police, the Michigan State Police and Life Care Ambulance assisted at the scene.
