Sturgis Schools Ready For Classes To Start

(STURGIS) – Sturgis Public Schools are ready for the 2020-2021 school year to start.

During this week's Board of Education meeting, Sturgis Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert reminded everyone that the first day of school is August 24. When classes start, it will have been 165 days since students have physically been in the school buildings.

Ebert also updated the Board of Education on the number of students who have been signed up by their parents for one the learning options for the new school year. ...... {LISTEN}.

Ebert says they are also in the process of hiring the School To Home Mentors that the Board of Education previously approved. ...... {LISTEN}.

New teacher training is underway and Ebert says he challenged them to have fun this coming school year. Not just for the teachers to have fun, but to also make it fun for the students.
