(CASSOPOLIS) – Authorities have released the names of the individuals involved in a crash that claimed the life of one of the occupants Monday
night.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke says 41 year old Marcus Moore of Cassopolis succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the crash.

Also in the vehicle at the time of the accident was 27 year old Samantha Worley and 45 year old Asa English, both of Cassopolis. Both had minor injuries from the crash, and were not treated for those injuries.

Deputies believe the driver was 35 year old Willie Moore of Cassopolis. He was taken by private vehicle to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital and
treated for his injuries.

Deputies were called to Brownsville Street near Highfield Road in Jefferson Township at 11:51 PM Monday. They determined the vehicle was heading west on Brownsville Street when it lost control due to speed and a freshly applied chip seal. The automobile rolled over several times and stopped in a field.

It's not known if the occupants of the vehicle were wearing their safety belts or not. The crash is still being investigated.
