Three People Injured In Cass County Crash

(VOLINIA TOWNSHIP) – Three people were injured in a one vehicle crash in Cass County's Volinia Township.

Sheriff Richard Behnke says 77 year old Nancy Hurley of Marcellus was driving east on Marcellus Highway near Russ Forrest Park at 4:45 PM Wednesday. Deputies say Hurley's vehicle went off the roadway and struck a culvert to the Dowagiac Creek. The automobile then overturned upside down in the creek.

Hurley was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Her two passengers, 18 year old Alexandra Goodin and 10 year old Lukas Hurley, both of Marcellus, were taken to Ascension Borgess Lee Hospital in Dowagiac by Marcellus Ambulance to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash.

Assisting deputies at the scene were the Marcellus Township Fire Department, the Wayne Township Fire Department, the Dowagiac Fire Department and Pride Care Ambulance.
