(THREE RIVERS) – The City of Three Rivers will start their biannual hydrant flushing on September 8.

The Three Rivers Department of Public Services says flushing will happen between 7 AM and 3 PM, Monday through Friday. They expect the flushing to continue through October 8.

City officials say because of many variables, they are not able to determine the exact date they will be in each District, but they will start in the First District, then going to the Fourth, the Second and Third District.

Citizens should be aware that some rusty water may be experienced during these times. If you have any prolonged problems, you can call the DPS office at 269-273-1845.
