(CALIFORNIA TOWNSHIP) – A child was injured after being run over by a vehicle.

Michigan State Police were called to a residence in Branch County's California Township Friday around 3 PM. They say an adult was moving a vehicle forward and didn't see the two year old child, who tripped and fell to the ground. The vehicle ran over the child.

The two year old was flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center and treated for non life-threatening injuries. The incident is still under investigation.
