Bronson Schools To Stay Virtual Until January 11
By: Mike Stiles - Monday, December 7, 2020

(BRONSON) – Bronson Community Schools will continue to have classes taught virtually until January 11.

In a post on the Bronson Schools' Facebook page, Superintendent Steve Wilson says that date was arrived at following a recommendation by the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency. That date of January 11 would give everyone 10 days after any possible New Year's Eve gatherings to self-quarantine and get tested if symptoms should occur.

Wilson says data shared with him by the CHA shows Branch County remains at a risk level of “E” which is the highest risk level possible. This decision follows the other schools in Branch County, along with many in the area that are staying virtual until after the Christmas break.

Wilson says everyone at Bronson Community Schools understands the importance of education and the academic piece of what they provide. The safety and welfare of the students is a major priority to the faculty and staff in all situations and scenarios.

Using the recommendations along with the current and projected data compiled by health professionals, Wilson says the School District feels at this time this is the best option to maintain the integrity of safety for all students and staff in Bronson.
