(LAGRANGE) – The LaGrange County Sheriff's Office is warning citizens of a scam that is going on in the area.

Sheriff Jeff Campos says county residents have received phone calls displaying a local number. When they answer the call, someone says that the individual's Google, Apple or iCloud account has been compromised, and they attempt to get the resident to send them money to fix the issue.

Campos says do not fall for this scam and do not give out any personal information over the telephone. He asks that you warn others in your family about this scam to prevent them from falling victim to it.
