No Decision Made By MHSAA On Fall Sports
By: Mike Stiles - Thursday, December 10, 2020

(EAST LANSING) – No decision was made Wednesday by the Michigan High School Athletic Association on if or when Fall Sports will resume.

MHSAA Media & Content Coordinator Geoff Kimmerly says the MHSAA Representative Council met on Wednesday, to discuss the extension of the State's epidemic order that was announced on Monday, and will go until December 20. Because that announcement came on Monday, the Representative Council's meeting was purely informational as the member's consider the next steps for Fall and Winter sports, which have been put on hold.

MHSAA Executive Director Mark Uyl remains in conversation with representatives of Governor Gretchen Whitmer's office.

Kimmerly says the Representative Council will meet again December 16 to formulate plans for when school sports are going to be allowed to resume activity.
