Kendallville Man Arrested For Having Stolen Vehicle

(ANGOLA) – A Kendallville man is behind bars following a traffic stop.

Indiana State Police say at 10:30 PM Tuesday, Trooper Adam Kitson made a stop on a 2006 Toyota Solara for routine traffic violations in the City of Angola. After checking the vehicle's registration, Kitson discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Kendallville Police Department a few days earlier.

The driver, 22 year old Troy Brockhause of Kendallville, was found to be operating on a suspended driver's license. Authorities also discovered he was in possession of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

Brockhaus was arrested and charged with a felony count of possession of stolen property, and two misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and driving while suspended. He is being held in the Steuben County Jail.

The Angola Police Department assisted with the investigation.
