Three Rivers Man Arrested Following Pursuit

(UNDATED) – A Three Rivers man is in jail after leading authorities on a chase in two counties.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says at 3:30 Thursday afternoon, his deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on County Line Road near Coon Hollow Road for a traffic violation. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed, heading west on Bald Hill Road and entering Cass County.
The automobile eventually came to a stop and the driver ran into a wooded area, leaving his female passenger behind.
Deputies were able to locate the driver, a 35 year old Three Rivers man, and take him into custody. Charges are being sought for fleeing and eluding, possession of methamphetamine and a firearm's violation. He is also charged with having outstanding warrants.
Assisting the Sheriff's Department were the Cass County Sheriff's Office, the Three Rivers and Constantine Police Departments and the Michigan State Police.
