(MASON TOWNSHIP) – A Cassopolis woman was injured in a one vehicle crash.

According to the Cass County Sheriff's Department, 36 year old Stephanie Cory was driving north on Cassopolis Road near Grange Street at 8:42 PM December 31, when she went off the road and struck a tree.

Cory was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. She was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

Investigators say Cory was not wearing her safety belt and the airbags did not deploy. It is not known if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the incident.

Assisting deputies were the Edwardsburg Police Department and the Porter Fire and EMS.
