Centreville girls 4th, boys 5th at Regional track meet

Centreville girls finish fourth at Division 4 Regional
(SAUGATUCK) – The Centreville girls track team was in action at the Division 4 Regional hosted by Saugatuck High School, and the Lady Bulldogs finished fourth. Leah Roberts was Regional Champion in the high jump. Teammate Ellie Miller was second in the long jump and fourth in the 200 meters, and will move to the State Finals in both events. Berkley Shingledecker came in sixth in the 800 meters and will also advance to the State Finals. Shingledecker, Ellie Miller, Nevaeh Prichard and Leah Roberts took third in the 800 meters and move on to the State finals. In addition Shingledecker, Ellie Reed, Arianna Six and Ninon Gontier were third in the 1600 meter relay and will be advancing to the State Finals.

Centreville boys take fifth at Regional
(SAUGATUCK) – Centreville’s boys track team finished fifth at their Division 4 Regional meet at Saugatuck High School. Several members of the team as individuals and relays are moving on to the State Finals either by finishing in the top two places of their events, or by meeting time and other event requirements. Deandre Stout was second in the 200 meters and will advance to the State Finals. He was also part of the second place 400 meter relay team with Brendan Sre, Declan Kane and Carter Cartier; the fourth place 800 meter relay team with Kane, Cartier and Longacre and the fourth place 1600 meter relay with with Kane, Longacre and Oliver Mildenberg which are all moving on to the State Finals. Longacre also advances to the State Finals after finishing third in the 300 meter hurdles. Max Yoder was second in the pole vault and moves on to the State Finals. Matthew Bates was fifth in the shot put, Bryce Hekter was 12th in the 1600 meters and Landon Marshall was 16th in the 1600 meters. They all advance to the State Finals.
