Mendon boys fifth at Regional
(HILLSDALE) – The Mendon boys track team finished fifth at the Division 4 Regional meet hosted by Hillsdale Academy. Jack McCaw was Regional Champion in the long jump and will be moving on to the State Finals. He was also third in the 100 meters and the 200 meters and also will compete at the State Finals in those events. McCaw was also part of the third place 1600 meter relay team with Owen Gorham, Dylan Cupp and Ryder Gorham that finished third and will move on to the State Finals. Owen Gorham also was second in the 400 meters and is advancing to the State Finals. The 3200 meter relay team of Zack Iobe, Ryder Gorham, Xavior Zinsmaster and Ben Iobe finished fourth and will also go on to the State Finals. Ben Iobe was seventh in the 1600 meters and will advance to the State Finales, as will Kyron Christner who was eighth.

Mendon girls tenth at Regional
(HILLSDALE) – The Mendon girls track team was in action at the Hillsdale Academy Division 4 Regional, and finished tenth on the day. Brianna Heitkamp was second in the shot put and will move on to the State Finals. So will Alicyn Arevalo who was second in the high jump. Presley Allen came in fifth in the 3200 meters and will move on to the State Finals. The 800 meter relay team of McKenzie Bakeman, Michelle Gomez-Sanchez, Karyssa Holtz and Taylor Zinsmaster came in 8th, but advance to the State Finals because of the qualifying time threshold.
