Centreville hires James Phillips as new varsity football coach

(CENTREVILLE) – Centreville Public Schools has found their next varsity football coach. Centreville Athletic Director Jill Peterson announced that James Phillips has been hired to be the new Bulldogs varsity football coach. He is currently a teacher and assistant football coach in Three Rivers. Phillips officially accepted the Centreville head football coaching position as well as the Centreville Jr/Sr High School physical education teaching position on Friday. Phillips is taking over for Jerry Schultz, who announced in April he was stepping down as the Centreville coach to become the new football coach at Mattawan.
