(STURGIS) - Linda Harrington is stepping down from the Sturgis City Commission.
During the April 22 meeting, Harrington announced it would be her last meeting as she has submitted her letter of resignation.
Harrington was first elected to the City Commission as a write-in candidate in November 2022 to represent the Third Precinct. She replaced Suzanne Malone.
Harrington's seat on the Commission is up for election in the November 2026 General Election.
The City Commission did not take any action during the meeting on if they would seek someone to fill out Harrington's term, or leave the seat empty until the November election.
