(QUINCY) - Quincy High School Athletic Director Lucas Meyer has announced that Bryce Williams was hired to succeed Connor Aemisegger as the head coach of the Orioles' varsity boys basketball team. Williams graduated from Archbold (OH) High School in 2017, where he was a 1,000-point scorer, an All-State selection, and a key member of the school's 2017 basketball team that made it to the OHSAA Semifinals. He went on to play four years at Trine University, earning All-MIAA Honors twice and helping lead the Thunder to conference championships in 2018 and 2021. He moved into the coaching ranks after graduation, returning to Archbold as a varsity assistant for one season before joining the Fremont High School staff. Most recently, he has served as a varsity assistant and eighth grade head coach for the Eagles. Williams says it is an honor to be named the next Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Quincy High School. He says he's excited for the opportunity to work with the student-athletes and become part of the Quincy community.
