(STURGIS) - Republican candidate for Governor Perry Johnson made a stop in Sturgis Wednesday afternoon.
Johnson was at Five Lakes Coffee to speak to community members heading up the August 4 Primary election. Johnson spoke on several different topics, including cutting the waste in State government, and explains what his first step will be if elected Governor.
Johnson says he will have to do a Michigan Efficiency Government Audit to look at things and see if it makes sense or is the Government just throwing money away. Johnson says because he has the experience he is the one guy that has the ability to go and lean the Government. (LISTEN ABOVE).
State Representative Steve Carra was with Johnson, and shared he is endorsing Johnson. Carra cites Johnson's electability and independence from the special interests that have controlled Lansing for far too long as the reasons he is backing him.
