(NAPPANEE) – A teenage boy is in critical condition after being pulled from a pond.

Kosciusko County Dispatch received a call at 1:27 Saturday afternoon of an unresponsive teenage boy that had been pulled from a pond near the 11,000 block of North 1000 West near Nappanee. The caller says that CPR was being administered on the boy.

Rescue personnel arrived and transported the teen to Memorial Hospital.

The incident is being investigated by the Indiana Conservation Department. Assisting at the scene were the Indiana State Police, the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department and the Nappanee Fire and EMS.
