Candlelight Vigil Brings Awareness About Domestic Violence

(CENTREVILLE) – A special event was held Tuesday night to bring awareness to the issue of domestic violence in Southwest Michigan.

Domestic And Sexual Abuse Services held their annual candlelight vigil on the lawn of the St. Joseph County Courthouse. The event was done in observance of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Part of the event includes the reading of the names of those who have lost their lives because of domestic violence in St. Joseph County and surrounding counties.

This year's Keynote Speaker was attorney Debbie Davis who says many cases of domestic violence often start out very subtly. ...... {LISTEN}.
