(BRONSON) – The City of Bronson has lifted the boil water advisory they issued on January 22.

As required during a boil water advisory, the City performed lab samples for two consecutive days, and both tests came back negative for the presence of bacteria.

Bronson City Manager Brandon Mersman says the advisory was a precautionary measure because of a drop in pressure in the City of Bronson's water supply due to equipment failure at the water tower.

Mersman says the heath and safety of Bronson's citizens has always been a top priority. He says they understand this has been an inconvenience for many,
but crews have done everything in their power to correct the issue.

Mersman says City staff has plans in place to prevent a similar situation in the future and they truly appreciate everyone's patience.
