Three Rivers Man Rescued After Auto Goes Into St. Joseph River

(LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP) – A man was rescued after his vehicle went into the St. Joseph River.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department says at 7:21 PM Thursday, members of the County’s Dive Rescue Team responded to the area of South River and Noah Lake Roads in Lockport Township for a vehicle that went into the river. Team members were able to rescue a 30 year old Three Rivers man.

An investigation determined that the driver lost control of his automobile. It went off the road and into the river. He was not injured in the incident, and the vehicle was removed from the water.

Assisting at the scene were the Michigan State Police.
