(CENTREVILLE) – Glen Oaks Community College is seeking input from the public in their search for a new president.

The school is inviting members of the community to attend one of three open forums planned for Tuesday, December 12, to assist in the development of a Presidential Profile.

Glen Oaks is hosting the public forums in partnership with the Association of Community College Trustees, which is the national search firm selected to assist in the search process. The forums are designed to gather input from students, faculty, staff, alumni and the entire community. They will offer the participants the chance to help define the qualities, characteristics and qualifications sought, as well as identify the challenges and opportunities facing the college in the years to come.

The forums will be held at the Nora Hagen Theatre on the Glen Oaks Campus. The first one on December 12 will be from 11 AM until 12 PM, the second from 3 PM to 4 PM and then from 5 PM to 6 PM.

In addition to the public forum, Glen Oaks has developed a brief electronic survey for those who are unable to attend on December 12. The anonymous responses to the survey will also be used as input for the development of the draft Presidential Profile.

You can find the survey online. Click Here.

Dr. David Devier announced earlier this year he would be retiring effective June 30, 2024, after serving as President of Glen Oaks since January 2014.
