(CHICAGO) – The Chicago White Sox placed outfielder/designated hitter Eloy Jimenez on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a left abductor strain. The move is retroactive to April 2. Jimenez, 27, left Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers following an at-bat in the sixth inning. He has missed the past three games. A .273 career hitter in 439 games with the White Sox, Jimenez is off to a slow start, hitting .182 (2-for-11) with just two singles. Jimenez has faced a variety of injuries in his career and hasn't played more than 120 games since his rookie season in 2019.
