(THREE RIVERS) - The Sturgis girls basketball team jumped out to a big lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 55-36 win over hos Three Rivers in Wolverine Conference action. Sydney Bir led the Lady Trojans with 14 points. (LISTEN ABOVE). Cora Phillips added 12 points while Kinder Smith and Angela Cary each had 8 points. For Three Rivers Dani Glass had a team high and game high 17 points. Emmersyn Quake had 11 points. With the win, Sturgis improves to 9-1 overall and 5-1 in the Wolverine Conference. Three Rivers is 2-5 and 2-3 in the conference.
