(CONSTANTINE) - An investigation led to the arrest of two people and the recovery of drugs and a weapon.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Chad Spence says on Tuesday his deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Meadow Lane in Constantine following an investigation into suspected drug activity.
During the investigation deputies determined that meth was being distributed from the residence. While executing the search warrant, deputies located meth and a stolen handgun.
A man and a woman from the area were taken into custody at the scene.
The suspects were transported to the St. Joseph County Jail where they are currently being held pending arraignment on charges of operating and maintaining a drug house, possession of meth, felony firearms and possession with intent to distribute.
The Centreville-Constantine, Three Rivers and White Pigeon Police Departments assisted deputies.
