(CENTREVILLE) - Tuition will be going up at Glen Oaks Community College in the 2026-2027 school year.

Thursday, the Glen Oaks Board of Trustees was presented with a recommendation to increase the tuition by Dr. Tracy Labadie, Vice President of Finance and Administration. Labadie says the proposed increase is 2.9%, which is just less than the 3% that originally been discussed by the Finance Committee.

The Board was also presented with an increase in Student Fee Rates from $39 per contact hour to $50 per contact hour.

Labadie says there will be no increase in the rent for rooms in the Devier Student Suites for the new year. However they will implement two new meal plans that will be a requirement for students living in the suites. Labadie says the first option will be for 5 meals per week and will cost $850 per semester. The second option will be for 50 meals per semester and will cost $700 per semester. (LISTEN ABOVE).

The Board of Trustees unanimously approved the recommendations.
