(VERMONTVILLE) - The Bronson baseball team split their Big 8 Conference opening double header with host Maple Valley, losing game one 7-2 and then winning 11-5. A six run sixth inning in game one helped Maple Valley get the win while in game two, Bronson scored six runs in the sixth inning for the victory. Warner Wotta was the starting pitcher in game one, allowing 6 unearned runs and striking out seven on the day. Wotta was 2-3 in game two, while Collin Webb had a 3 run double and Ben Stevens was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. Bronson is now 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the Big 8.
