Sturgis softball team sweeps DH against B.C. Central

(BATTLE CREEK) - The Sturgis softball team picked up their first wins of the season, sweeping host B.C. Central 26-0 and 22-4 in a non-conference double header. Gracie Pagels was the winning pitcher in Game 1 while Breylyn Shank got the win in Game 2. At the plate, Sophia Crites had 6 hits and 5 RBI. Pagels also had 3 hits and 5 RBI while Nataliegh Jarratt had 2 hits and 5 RBI. Colette Harker and Kloie Wilson each had 4 RBI. Sturgis is now 2-12 on the season.
