(STURGIS) - The Sturgis Board of Education heard the results of a community survey during their meeting Monday.
The survey was presented following the failed bond proposal in May.
Sturgis Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert presented the survey data, starting with the number of people who took the survey. Ebert says there were 738 people who responded to the survey. He shared that generally school districts the size of Sturgis get between 300 and 400 responses.
Ebert went over the data, including the ages of those who responded, what their responses were to the questions asked and what they would and would not support.
Ebert says the Board of Education and the District should go through this information and really absorb it to understand what the community said and what they would and would not support. (LISTEN ABOVE)
Ebert says there is no timeline on when or if they will make another bond proposal to the public.
