(ELKHART COUNTY) - Authorities say an Elkhart woman is facing a charge of operating while intoxicated after a weekend crash.
The Elkhart Police Department says 26 year old Kyler Jacobs was driving on State Road 19 near Sturdy Oak Drive at 2:30 PM Saturday when her vehicle crashed into a utility pole and then a tree.
Jacobs and a 3 year old boy who was in the vehicle were taken to an area hospital. The child had leg pain and Jacobs had internal bleeding.
The matter is still under investigation.
