(STURGIS) – Justin Wickey is officially back on the Sturgis City Commission.

During Wednesday’s meeting, Wickey took his oath of office and will represent the Second Precinct. During their May 14 meeting, the Commission interviewed Wickey for the position, then voted to appoint him to the Commission. He was the only person to apply for the vacant seat.

Wickey spoke with Swick Broadcasting following the meeting and says he’s starting to get familiar with what the Commission is doing and what’s happening in the City. ...... {LISTEN}.

Wickey previously served as a Second Precinct Commissioner from 2018 until 2021 when he stepped down due to being asked to help plant a church in Coldwater.

Wickey will finish the term of Rodger Moyer, who stepped down from the Commission at the end of April, due to his move out of the Second Precinct.
