(CENTREVILLE) – There’s going to be plenty to see and do this weekend in Centreville as the 2025 Covered Bridge Days Festival starts today.
Brandy Eckert who serves on the Covered Bridge Days Committee, says there’s been some changes, specifically in the number of people on the committee, since she started eight years ago…...(07182025 BRANDY #1 :18 “four people”).
(Eckert says when she started on the Committee in 2017 there were several individuals involved with Covered Bridge Days. Because of COVID in 2020, many of those people have since stepped down from serving on the Committee, and now Eckert says there are just four people).
Today’s events include the free kids flea market at the Nottawa Township Library; the craft sale and vendor’s booths and several activities at the Centreville Baptist Church.
At 4 PM there will be a taco dinner fundraiser at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds and at 5 PM hot dogs will be served at the Centreville Fire Department.
There will be an Edzoocational outreach mini zoo at 5 PM. Then at 5:30 PM the Community On Main will open up. Also at 5:30 PM is the kids and adult ice cream eating contest, followed at 6 PM by the kids and adult donut eating contest.
At 6 PM there will be live music with Tara Renee featuring Larry Bryan.
