
Man Who Stole Cassopolis Police Car Officially Charged

(CASSOPOLIS) – Charges have been filed against a man who authorities say stole a Cassopolis Police vehicle.
The Cass County Prosecutor’s Office says that 42 year old Andy Freshour of Marcellus has been charged with 17 felony counts in relation to the Wednesday afternoon occurrence. Among the charges are 11 weapons related county and three resisting police charges.
At 1 PM Wednesday, the Cassopolis Police Department was attempting to arrest Freshour when he got away from officers and drove off in a Cassopolis Police 2020 Ford Explorer.
After an extensive search, the vehicle was found around 6:30 PM. An hour later, Freshour was found and arrested.
Freshour is being held in the Cass County Jail with bond set at $250,000.
