(ELKHART COUNTY) – Northern Indiana authorities are investigating a hit and run accident.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says a 46 year old Elkhart man was riding his bicycle along County Road 18 just before 10 PM Saturday when he was a struck by a car that then drove off.

The bicyclist was taken to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Investigators say they don’t have any information on the vehicle. If anyone has information on this incident, they are asked to call the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.
