(BRONSON) – Drug charges have been brought against a Bronson man.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office says they were conducting a warrant check at 123 Franklin Street when they confronted Jack Narlock, who deputies say was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Deputies noticed through an open window a meth pipe that was on a table.
Deputies spoke with 63 year old Brett Kubasiak who first told officers that Narlock was not in the dwelling. Authorities obtained a search warrant and while searching the house, they found a safe in Kubasiak’s bedroom that was locked. They forced it open, and deputies found approximately 14 grams of meth, a digital scale along with several of Kubasiak’s personal items.
Deputies found Narlock and questioned him. Narlock said that Kubasiak would regularly give him drugs and also ran daily sales out of the dwelling.
Southwest Enforcement Team members were able to confirm that the quantity of meth found in the house was consistent with that used for narcotics distribution.
Kubasiak was arrested and charged with Delivery and or Manufacturing Meth and Maintaining A Drug House. Bond was set at $40,000. Kubasiak was ordered by the court to undergo random drug testing.
Kubasiak is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing on October 23.
