(MERRILLVILLE) – Three Northeast Indiana organizations are receiving money for programs.

NIPSCO and the NiSource Charitable Foundation announced the winners of its 2025 Environmental Action Grants, which awarded 23 local nonprofit organizations to help fund environmental projects and programming across NIPSCO’s service area.

This year’s recipient organizations, selected by a review committee, will each receive a grant between $500 and $5,000 to further their missions.

Receiving grants are the LaGrange County Department of Parks and Recreation for Nature Day Camps. They are getting $3,000. The Mongo Community Development Association will receive $1,250 for Pollinator Garden Expansion. The Clear Lake Township Land Conservancy is getting $5,000 for the Borton Wetlands Habitat Restoration.

Now in it’s tenth year, the grant program has provided approximately $700,000 in funding support for nearly 170 projects with an emphasis on environmental education and restoration across Northern Indiana.
