(STURGIS) - The Sturgis Kiwanis Club recently honored the Sturgis High School Key Club April Students of the Month!
Tania Delgado is a senior who is planning to attend Glen Oaks next year and then transfer to a university. She has taken advantage of free college courses while in high school and also enjoys volunteering with Key Club and with her church.
Giselle Martinez is a senior and is planning to attend Glen Oaks next year with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. She was able to do an internship at Eastwood School this semester and found out how much she enjoyed that career with students and teachers.
Giselle has been in Marketing CTE for two years with the added responsibility of manager this year. She joined Key Club her senior year because she wanted to be more involved.
These young women are representative of a Key Club that has over 120 total members this year and have participated and or volunteered in events across Sturgis. These include recent and upcoming events such as: The Teacher Appreciation Slide Show, Easter Egg prep at hunts at The Doyle Center and Thurston Woods Park, Kiwanis Food Packing, Rummage Sale set up at The Sturgis Presbyterian Church, and the walking of 1st graders from Wall School to Thurston Woods Park.
Key Club is a student run organization at Sturgis High School that is sponsored by the Sturgis Noon Kiwanis Club.
